We Know Who Wins

Image
Hola friends! Wow. This week was POWERFUL. on Monday we met with our friend chasity for the first time. We were going over to pray with her, and when we got there she told us that she wants to be baptized! It was so special. She said she wants to be even closer to Christ and that she wants to feel more peace and joy in her life. She understood what baptism is! And when we explained the priesthood and the sacrament and the gift of the Holy Ghost she said "I want that! I'm ready". It was so so special. We felt so much peace and joy from the Lord. Sis mamata and i have been doing our best to give our all to Him. To be exactly obedient and to repent daily. I felt like this miracle of finding chasity was because of our efforts to give Him everything we had. Then the next night we felt so much peace and joy and I felt like He had accepted my efforts to give my all to Him. It felt so so good. I can testify that when we include the Savior in all we do, it makes a difference. Ther...

It's His Work :)

Wow. So many amazing experiences this week!  I had two amazing exchanges with some really special sisters. Hermana Mertens and Sister Church! They are so so so good. Both of them inspire me so much. They love the Lord and I felt closer to Him as I spent the day with them.  Sister Mamata and I had a special experience - the Lord really told us that He knows us. We were talking with a member of our bishopric and he shared about his mission experience. He told us that all we need to do is try our best every day. That's all that matters. It's the Lord's work and He takes care of the parts we miss. He said that some missionaries he knew really stressed themselves out thinking it was all on them to make sure everything worked out (@ me), and it caused them to miss out on the experience of a mission. That was such a good reminder! We need to give it all to the Lord. Give all we have. When we give Him everything and let Him run His work the way He wants it to be run, everything wor...

"Nevertheless I Went Forth"

Wowowow. You guys. God is amazing. I've felt such a special spirit this week already as our mission president has encouraged us to prepare to receive Elder and sister Bennett again. He's invited us to repent, listen to the voice of the spirit, and increase our hope. I know God is so aware of me. He's teaching me so much that i am so grateful for.  I love the story of Nephi in the book of Mormon. He's going forth to get the plates from Laban on a command from Heavenly Father.  He says,  "And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.     Nevertheless I went forth,"  And when He went forth, the Lord provided the way.  I feel like that's something I've learned on my mission, the Lord wants us to move forward in faith and trust that He'll work things out. Every day. I've experienced that big time as I've been here in Michigan. And EVERY TIME the Lord is there. And we don't have to be a missionary to experi...

Testimonies Recorded In Heaven

Image
Hey everyone! It was a rollercoaster of a week. We've experienced all the ups and downs of missionary work. Suffering for the Lord and rejoicing in Him.  Bella was supposed to be baptized this week but because her grandparents haven't responded, she wasn't. We went over on Tuesday and her grandparents said that her mom's been iffy about Bella being baptized. I cried haha. Cried because it's so hard when she's got the purest desire to be baptized but what's stopping her is things out of her control. She could use prayers! Also, cool experience. We met with some friends who really bashed on our beliefs. Said that "we're not in heaven heaven 'socialize' with our families". We bore testimony so strongly of eternal families and their significance. Then President Gentile called and shared this scripture:  Nevertheless, ye are blessed, for the testimony which ye have borne is recorded in heaven for the angels to look upon; and they rejoice ove...
