Happy Thanksgiving! (ITS CHRISTMAS NOW)

Image
Hey y’all!  This week went by sooo fast. I can’t believe my online MTC experience is already almost over. Tuesday is my last day of classes. So crazy!  I’m so grateful for the MTC! I’ve learned a ton. We’ve talked about how to teach, the importance of loving people, Jesus Christ, how to implement the Book of Mormon in our teachings, and so much more. I love my district!! I'll miss them a ton but can't wait to hear the experiences they all have out in the field.  Something I love about the MTC is that they not only teach you HOW to teach, but they teach the Gospel. The key to teaching effectively is being converted ourselves. Our job is to testify of Christ, and then the Spirit takes over. We had a lesson on faith on Monday. I really needed it. I wrote about it on Facebook that day. take a look at it if you want :) We watched a video about people who were going through hard times. A man was paralyzed, another lost his son, and a mom was having a bad day. The thing that i l...

Heyo!! Week 2

Hey family and friends!  This week has been super fun. I've gotten to know my district so much better and they are the best! All of us have had personal experiences with the Gospel and it's the coolest thing. I love hearing their stories. Sometimes our conversations can be pretty interesting but that's what makes it fun.  I've heard so often that time is so weird on the mission...days feel like weeks and weeks feel like days. It so truuueee. Each day goes by pretty slow, but this week went by so fast and I'm surprised it's already saturday again! On tuesday we had a missionary devotional! We got to listen to Elder Bednar. He talked about receiving revelation/ communication from God. It was the best! He said that as long as we are being good people and striving to stay close to Heavenly Father, we will be directed. And often, He wants us to act and decide for ourselves "not knowing beforehand".  He also said we don't need to be too hard on ourselves...

First P-day!

Hi Everyone!  Wow, It's kind of weird being on the other side of these emails now. I've read so many of them and now I'm writing them. (Dad, I apologize in advance for the bad grammar;) I just finished my first 3 days of online MTC! It's been good. Even though I sit all day, I've loved learning the ins and outs of being a missionary. I've had the thought that teaching isn't about filling a quota or performing, it's about sharing your testimony and helping people come to Christ! That's my purpose. It makes me excited.   It's been so cool to wear the missionary tag! I love the feeling of being a missionary, and I love being able to focus on the Gospel throughout the day.  Yesterday I was able to get to know my companion and my district better! They're all really good people. We're going to have fun:)  As some of you know, I've had a hard time hearing in my left ear since a trip up north in July. It felt like the ear pressure from the dr...
