Heyo!! Week 2

Hey family and friends!

This week has been super fun. I've gotten to know my district so much better and they are the best! All of us have had personal experiences with the Gospel and it's the coolest thing. I love hearing their stories. Sometimes our conversations can be pretty interesting but that's what makes it fun.

I've heard so often that time is so weird on the mission...days feel like weeks and weeks feel like days. It so truuueee. Each day goes by pretty slow, but this week went by so fast and I'm surprised it's already saturday again!

On tuesday we had a missionary devotional! We got to listen to Elder Bednar. He talked about receiving revelation/communication from God. It was the best! He said that as long as we are being good people and striving to stay close to Heavenly Father, we will be directed. And often, He wants us to act and decide for ourselves "not knowing beforehand".  He also said we don't need to be too hard on ourselves. I loved it!

We talked a lot this week about how to teach. We've been focusing on seeing people deeply like in Michelle Craig's last conference talk (give it a read if you haven't yet. It's a good one). Teaching isn't just going into someone's house and saying "alright here we go. we're going to teach you a lesson word for word and you can't ask any questions till it's done". It's loving people and teaching according to their needs. And encouraging questions. I LOVE so much that my missionary purpose is all about helping people come to Christ and helping them have peace in their lives. It's that simple!

I had a CT scan for my ear on friday morning. We should be getting the results of that next week. We'll see how it goes! If I'm going to be real here,,, it's honestly hard not knowing! and having the possibility of plans getting upended. BUT. I know it'll all work out how it's supposed to!

I loved the opportunity we got to listen to a prophet of God yesterday! he gave such a good message on gratitude. I just want to say that I am very grateful that I have the opportunity to be a missionary right now. I love this Gospel. I'm so grateful for the peace that Christ gives.

 Have a great week!
