The End Of The Best Journey

Image
Hey everyone!!  I just got home a couple of hours ago. So wild that this is already over.  It's definitely been an emotional past couple of days.  Last night I got the opportunity to bear my testimony to some other missionaries who are also going home. It was really special for me to reflect on how much I've come closer to the Savior. I know that this is His work.  I have come to understand Him in a much better way.  It was cool to reflect with my mission president on how much closer I've grown to Him. I feel more grounded. Whenever I'm tempted to feel worried or scared about going home,  God gives me an assurance that I can feel peace.  I'm grateful that God is in the details and that He knows my plan!   This past Sunday I had the opportunity to go to Cheboygan and see it become a branch. It was one of the most special days of my mission. I felt Father's love so strong for myself and for the precious people there.  I know that He is in ...

Love You

Sister Heap and I love you so very much Sister Ross. We will see you at home. We will perhaps see you in Mesa one day.    Your story about being with your friend to support her at her daughter’s birthday party touched me deeply. This is what it is all about Sister Ross. This is what life is all about. It is about being there for others. It is about loving and helping. It is about being willing to ask for help when we need help. I promise you a life of joy and happiness as you love His children. That is who you are Sister Ross. We were just with Sister Harris and her father yesterday. You said something to Sister Harris that her father heard. It was just something about how much you loved and admired Sister Harris. Her father, Brother Harris, was touched by what you said. He was touched deeply. That is you Sister Ross. That is what you are all about.   It just seems like you arrived in February of 2021. Where has the time gone. We will be FOREVER grateful for you. We love ...

In The Arena With Christ

Image
Hola friends!!  I just want to say how grateful I am for a mission. If you are considering going on one, please DO NOT HESITATE! it's the best experience ever. I promise that any worries or fears you have will be made right if it's what God needs you to do.  This week our mission has had a focus of "being in the arena with Christ". I felt that big time!! Our friend was going to be baptized and then she decided it wasn't for her (lots of reasons for this- she has a lot going on right now). I was devastated haha. we did all we could for her!! I felt how much God loves her and wants this for her. i was pretty beat down because of it but then had many tender mercies from the Lord. I read this scripture the next day:  " And  b blessed  art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the  c natural  fruit, that my vineyard is no more corrupted, and the bad is c...

MIRACLES!!!

Image
Hey everyone!!  Just wanted to pop in and share the POWER OF PRAYER!!! CHRISTINA WAS BAPTIZED THIS WEEK!!!  She was the one I mentioned last week who said she didn't want to be baptized. we had felt like we lost and it was pretty devastating. Then she came to us on monday and said "I've been reading the bible trying to prove that this church is wrong. but every. single. verse i've read has shown me that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I want to be baptized". we were IN AWE. Literally God works. He knew all along that this would be the outcome of Christina's journey- and man did we learn so much as we did all we could for her. She bore testimony of the need for promises with God. She said "I've been swerving lanes, unable to make a decision. every time I would see a pebble in this lane i would freak out and swerve into the other lane. But now i'm picking a lane and it's the most beautiful lane i've ever been on".  It was truly...

Hey all!! Man. I've loved this transfer w Sister Stewart. She is so incredible! We got transfer calls this week and she's leaving :(  She's taught me so much about humility and finding joy in the work. Sooo grateful for her! I'm getting Sister Marker! Should be fun!! We've seen so many miracles here and I've felt sooo much joy doing the work. We met a young couple, Ash and Owen. They are starting life out together and have gone through some really rough things.  I felt so strongly the urgency that God feels for them to hear the Gospel! I'm so grateful that this message we share changes lives and provides hope for a better world.  I love you all!

Follow Promptings!

Hey all!!  Don't have a lot of time this week, BUT. I will say FOLLOW EVERY PROMPTING YOU GET, EVEN IF ITS JUST A LITTLE THOUGHT! If it's good, do it. The Lord will bless you and whoever is involved.  Had a powerful week- got to go back to Cheboygan on an exchange. That was special. Spent the day with our district today which was also sooo fun!  I love you all! Sis Ross  Pics:

This week has been one of the most powerful on my mission! I have seriously loved every minute of it!!  We have found so many people to teach this week!! One in particular is Wesley and Kristy and their 3 girls. They are the sweetest family ever and I can't wait for them to come closer to the Savior and be more united as a family!! We met a man named Shawn this week. When we knocked on his door and asked if he'd be interested in hearing a message about Jesus Christ, he said no. But then as we kept talking with him he opened up and shared the hard things he's been going through. He's lost a lot of family members recently. He just seemed very weighed down. You could see it in his eyes. We asked what he's searching for and he said he wants hope that there is more than just bodies laying in dirt when we pass away. We promised him that he would see his family members again one day and that there is more for him and them! That God has a plan for him and we're there to...
