H O P E ♡

This week has been one of the most powerful on my mission! I have seriously loved every minute of it!!

We have found so many people to teach this week!! One in particular is Wesley and Kristy and their 3 girls. They are the sweetest family ever and I can't wait for them to come closer to the Savior and be more united as a family!!

We met a man named Shawn this week. When we knocked on his door and asked if he'd be interested in hearing a message about Jesus Christ, he said no. But then as we kept talking with him he opened up and shared the hard things he's been going through. He's lost a lot of family members recently. He just seemed very weighed down. You could see it in his eyes. We asked what he's searching for and he said he wants hope that there is more than just bodies laying in dirt when we pass away. We promised him that he would see his family members again one day and that there is more for him and them! That God has a plan for him and we're there to answer his questions. It was powerful. By the end of our conversation his eyes were brighter and there was more hope in him! He even smiled. It was a really special experience for me. This Gospel provides people with that hope! That hope that there is more In this life- that we have a purpose and that we can be with our families again. It's truly beautiful. I feel so honored to be on a mission and help people feel more hope in Christ.

This weekend was SO GOOD. On Friday we had zone conference with Elder Bennett and his wife! This was one of the most powerful meetings of my mission. I had the opportunity to really reflect on the past 2ish months and the journey its been. I've learned a lot about my Savior and have felt so much joy as I've come closer to Him. Something that was mentioned by president Brown, one of President Heap's counselors, was that sometimes we need to be carried. He said "let them carry you". I loved that. The whole meeting was about the fact that it's okay to not be perfect!! Heavenly Father doesn't expect us to be. All He needs from us is a willing heart. We need to be willing to be obedient and bind ourselves to Him through covenants. Then we can stand back and watch the miracles happen! We'll go backwards sometimes but that's okay because we have Jesus Christ. I felt soo much love in that meeting and know that our Savior knows each of us so well!!

Then Saturday and sunday was traverse city district conference. I got to see so many people that I love so so much. The people here in Northern Michigan have my heart. They've changed me!! It was a big hug from Father to see them all!!!

Then Sunday night President Nelson gave a powerful devotional for young adults. He spoke for our Savior when he encouraged us to always remember who we are. His wife, Wendy Nelson, spoke about a question that can change each of us: "what would a holy young adult do?" I'm committing to ask myself that question always! I always want to be on the Lord's errand and be doing something that helps me or others come closer to Him.

I know this Gospel is true! The joy I've felt as a missionary comes from no one else but Him. It's truly incredible.

I love you all!!
