The End Of The Best Journey

Hey everyone!!

I just got home a couple of hours ago. So wild that this is already over.  It's definitely been an emotional past couple of days.

Last night I got the opportunity to bear my testimony to some other missionaries who are also going home. It was really special for me to reflect on how much I've come closer to the Savior. I know that this is His work.  I have come to understand Him in a much better way.  It was cool to reflect with my mission president on how much closer I've grown to Him. I feel more grounded. Whenever I'm tempted to feel worried or scared about going home,  God gives me an assurance that I can feel peace.  I'm grateful that God is in the details and that He knows my plan!

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to go to Cheboygan and see it become a branch. It was one of the most special days of my mission. I felt Father's love so strong for myself and for the precious people there.  I know that He is in the details of our lives.  I got to bare my testimony there of how the Savior cares for every effort we put in to come closer to Him and to help others come closer to Him.  Those people in Cheboygan helped me to realize that.

I'm eternally grateful for my mission and the things I've learned. I will miss it with my whole heart.  The people I've met in Michigan have changed my life completely. I'm a different person walking onto this plane than I was when I walked on the plane to fly to Michigan.  And it's all because of Jesus Christ.  He is everything to me.  I testify that He loves each of us and understands us deeply. Binding ourselves to Him brings the greatest joy we could ever find in this is life and the next.

I feel like Alma's words describe perfectly how I feel:
"I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."
16 Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever"
 (Alma 26:11,12,16)

I love my Savior.  I love His Gospel.  I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His new testament church restored.  He is at the head of it.  The Book of Mormon is His book. I feel so much peace when I read it and it's been an honor to testify of its goodness to the people of Michigan.  I know that God has a plan for each of us,  and that it revolves around loving Him and loving His children. It is simple, pure and powerful.

I love you all!

I'll be speaking about my experiences this Sunday at 10am!
Feel free to come!!
