We Know Who Wins

Hola friends!

Wow. This week was POWERFUL. on Monday we met with our friend chasity for the first time. We were going over to pray with her, and when we got there she told us that she wants to be baptized! It was so special. She said she wants to be even closer to Christ and that she wants to feel more peace and joy in her life. She understood what baptism is! And when we explained the priesthood and the sacrament and the gift of the Holy Ghost she said "I want that! I'm ready". It was so so special. We felt so much peace and joy from the Lord. Sis mamata and i have been doing our best to give our all to Him. To be exactly obedient and to repent daily. I felt like this miracle of finding chasity was because of our efforts to give Him everything we had. Then the next night we felt so much peace and joy and I felt like He had accepted my efforts to give my all to Him. It felt so so good. I can testify that when we include the Savior in all we do, it makes a difference. There's been a while where I've tried to be better on my own, and I can tell you right now that it doesn't work haha. But the other night as I was praying I thought about the Savior and how He can help me, and I just felt so much peace. I've noticed a huge difference as I've tried to involve Him in my efforts to be better.

Then. On Wednesday we had the mission tour! The Bennetts came again. It was sooo powerful. I learned so much- too much to write here. They talked about the difference between selective obedience and exact obedience. They shared that if we want an Apostle to come to our mission (which btw I forgot to mention- AN APOSTLE IS COMING NEXT MONTH WOOT WOOT!) and we want to share miracles, we need to be exactly obedient. That's what sis mamata and I experienced with chasity- a miracle!

It's been really cool- since the bennets came and talked with us, our whole mission has had a special spirit of vulnerability and repentance. We're all trying to give the Lord our all. it's so cool to unite in this effort.

Elder Bennett shared some special things about President Nelson (the prophet and President of our church). He shared that one time he asked president Nelson how he's so optimistic despite the challenges of today's world. President Nelson said:

"1) I know Who's in charge
  2)  I know who wins.
Let's go to work"

I absolutely love that! We can feel peace in this life because of our Savior Jesus Christ. We are not alone! He loves us and wants to help us! He has already overcome the world. If the prophet- who knows more than any of us do- is optimistic about the future, I think that means we can be optimistic, too. Let's not worry. Let's give our worries worries the Savior and allow Him to carry us.

I'm so grateful for this Gospel and the joy it brings me. I'm grateful for my mission and the ups and downs I've experience and how it's all bringing me closer to Christ. I know He lives! And I'm so excited to listen to His representatives- His apostles and prophets- this next weekend at General conference. If you don't know what it is and want to listen to something that will BLOW YOUR MIND and bring you peace and comfort- email me! I'd love to send you the link.

You are all so loved!!
