A Promise From God

Wow! Busy week here in Kalkaska. Every day we've come home exhausted. That's the greatest feeling for me. I love busy weeks!!

We have our sweet friend Christina who is preparing for baptism. She is so special. She's my age and is married and loves people and Jesus so much. She's a light. She was struggling earlier this week to commit and to know how she was feeling about joining this church. We invited her to read a couple verses in the Book of  Mormon and then to pray. She did!! She felt peace and is now ready to move forward. It's so amazing to me that when we have an open heart, God will direct us to know what to do.
Our friend Josiah is also struggling to know if God wants him here in this, Christ's restored Church, or if God wants him in the church he's been attending. He's praying to know what God needs him to do!

We read proverbs 3:5-6 with him:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths"

I know that God will direct us in life!! It feels so good to promise that to our friends because I know with all my heart it's true. I know this is His church and so when we promise them that God will direct them, I have all the faith in the world that He will and that they will know that this is the place to be. It's so peaceful and so many blessings come from participating in this Gospel. It's great. God is good.

Also that promise from God is so special- but we need to be willing to "lean not" to pre-conceived notions or opinions or what we think is best. We need to have complete trust in the Savior, and we'll always be directed and taken care of. That's so comforting to me!

ALSOOO on Thursday it was the coolest thing. There's a member here in Kalkaska who is soo fun! Her names Deborah. She came doorknocking with us and we got to go to some little towns in the corner of our area and doornock all day! I loved every minute. Also Northern Michigan is beautiful. I'm convinced its the prettiest place ever. I love every minute being here.

Wednesday (sorry I'm going backwards) I got to go to... drum roll..... Traverse City again!!! It was sooo fun to be back there. Felt like I never left. I love that place and those people with my whole heart. We'll be back there this week for some meetings. I can't wait!

I love this work and Jesus Christ with my whole heart!!

Love you all!
