Singing In The Rain

HEYOOOOO fam

It's been an amazing week!

We've been super busy teaching this week. We had a lesson on Wednesday with Andrew.... he accepted a baptismal invitation! We're so excited for him. He said "I just want to feel the joy that you two feel"  he's been baptized before so we were worried that he'd hesitate, but had no hesitation. He said "well that's why I'm here, right?" He wants to make promises with God and be as close to Him as possible. It's inspiring. Seeing someone exercise so much faith is the coolest thing to witness.
Keep Andrew in your prayers!

Right after the lesson we were so excited about what just happened that I forgot to bring the keys out to the church parking lot with me.... and we locked ourselves out of the church building.... again. Yes, another blonde Sistet Ross moment. but. It led to the best memories hahah we were just running around in the rain so so happy because of Andrew's decision to be baptized.thankfully Andrew and his mom came back so we were able to use his phone and call some members who had the keys. We were all cracking up. The Hoffmeyer family are the best people.

We got to go to his house and teach his family the day after. We talked about hearing God's voice. Dawn (Andrew's mom) shared a very special experience where she felt close to God. She said "Our job is to grab hands with as many of our brothers and sisters as we can and say 'it's time to come home'". She's one of the most christlike people I've met.

What she said really stuck out to me- that's our job here on earth! To build each other up and help each other come closer to Christ. It's not a competition.

We taught Andrew about temples last night. He got a huge smile on his face and said "it just makes sense. Shows God's endless mercy and love". It was a special moment. Being able to share with people that they're families can be together forever is amazing. It brings me a lot of joy.
