I Just Love Being A Missionary
Hey Everyone!!
I just thought you'd like to know that I love being a missionary. Focusing on the Gospel 24/7 and helping people feel the spirit makes me happy. I like seeing people come closer to God. Because honestly that's the thing that makes us happy in the long run- being close with Him and keeping His commandments.
A few things I've learned this week:
- Everyone on this earth already chose Jesus Christ. When we introduce them to the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, it's just reminding them of something that they already know. That perspective helps me have more confidence in Christ and charity for others.
- The Book of Mormon is the way to go if you want to become converted to Christ. It's all about Him. Everyone has access to the power of the Holy Ghost. So if we read the Book of Mormon with real intent and pray to know if it's true, we'll know. I have become more converted to Christ as I read it. I feel so much peace. I know it's the word of God.
- Rely on God to do His work. God knows people's hearts better than we do. So when we do all we can to be an example of following Christ and to help people feel the Spirit, God will do the rest. It's pretty amazing to watch. Don't stress it too much;)
- Match the message you share. We had a devotional about the importance of living the things that we're teaching. He also talked about fighting for the people we were called to serve. I want to do that. I want to give my all to help my friends come closer to Christ. Sometimes that requires being bold, which can be scary, but I know it's worth it. \
- Jesus Christ already paid the ultimate price for our sins, sorrows and weaknesses. He understands everything we go through. The only thing we need to do is turn to Him. He'll help us find strength in our trials. I love Him.
I love the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with all of my heart. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not a man's church. It's Christ's church. He runs it. He is at the head. And I don't know about you but to me that's pretty comforting. He's on our side and is fighting for us!!
Sooooo that being said,
YOU GOT THIS. whatever you're going through right now, I promise it will be okay in the end and that God has given us the tools to be happy and have peace.
Alsoooo I love the people of Cheboygan sooo much. Pretty sure I always say that but they're some of the best people I've ever met and I don't know how I lived my life before without knowing them!!
Pray for Andrew this week as he's preparing for his baptism on Sunday!
Love you allll
Sister Ross
