The L O V E Of God
This week was so good!!
we have seen so many miracles. our friend Andrew came to church! We were worried that he might've felt overwhelmed but then he messaged us afterwords and said that he has never felt so loved at a church as he did at ours. He told the members of the group that he wants to come next week! We're so happy for him. I love the members of this group they are amazing. They do such a good job of reaching out and helping people feel included.
We've done a lot of facebook finding at the Lake here in Cheboygan..it's been a lot of fun! We find on our phone, but we also talk to as many people we can in person! On friday, we felt prompted to go up and talk with a man who was just chillin' on a bench. His name was Justin and he's going to school in DC (my fav place) and was in Cheboygan to visit his parents. we gave him Book of Mormon and he said that he'd love to meet up again and study it with us!! We all met up again on Sunday! We invited Alex (a girl sisters have been teaching for almost a year) and it was the best thing ever!! We had an awesome discussion about God and His love for us. We read 3 nephi 11 and talked about how we hear God's voice. At the end, Alex got super excited and told Justin to read Alma 32. It's so cool to see her share the Gospel!! Such a special experience.
We had an awesome Sunday devotional. Our guest speaker talked about enjoying each moment! Not one moment in our life is like the other. Each moment is a gift from God. It was a good reminder for me to not stress out... but to relax and rely on the Lord. I loved it!! This work is a H A P P Y work. Heavenly Father wants us to have joy!
I talked about God's love for us in church on sunday. It was a great opportunity. Some quotes that stood out to me:
""Because you are His child, He knows who you can become. He knows your fears and your dreams. He relishes your potential. He waits for you to come to Him in prayer. Because you are His child, you not only need Him, but He also needs you. Those sitting around you right now in this meeting need you. The world needs you, and your divine nature allows you to be His trusted disciple to all His children. Once we begin to see the divinity in ourselves, we can see it in others." - rosemary Wixom
"Seeking after Him and calling upon Him will begin the process and provide space to build and strengthen our eternal relationships. It broadens our spiritual view and helps us focus on changing what we can control rather than on fears outside our control. Studying the life and ministry of our Savior, Jesus Christ, will enable us to view these other concerns with an eternal perspective." Elder Wakolo
You are so loved! God knows you. turn to Him and things will work out how they're supposed to!
You got this. Love you all!!
