It's All Covered

Heyyy all!

It's been a crazyyyy busy week. We entered what's called "soft phase 3". we can knock doors and meet people in person!! Also we don't have to wear masks if the person we're teaching doesn't care. blessings!!

we've seen so many blessings as things have opened up more. We've had so many amazing lessons with people in person. The work is progressing up here and I feel so grateful to be a part of it!

some cool experiences...

we met with Shauna in person! Shauna is a less active member in the group that we do book of mormon studies with each week. we had a lesson planned with a new friend of ours and we invited shauna to come. the guy didn't show up so we talked with shauna!! she asked us about the holy spirit. we explained that it's a gift that we have with us always, and that it guides us closer to God. then what happened next was so awesome. a few weeks ago we had a sunday devotional and the guest speaker went over 7 things that we can do to bring the spirit. those things were 1.praying, 2. reading scriptures, 3. expressing love, 4. uplifting music, 5.sharing personal experiences, 6. priesthood ordinances, and 7. bearing testimony. we went through all 7 of those things during shauna's lesson and afterwords she said she felt the happiest she's ever been. she asked us how she can feel the spirit all the time.

i think it's so cool that Heavenly Father is so close to us. He wants us to come closer to Him and He's provided us with simple ways to do that. so. if any of you are struggling to feel the spirit, do the things on that list! I promise you that you'll feel an increase of love and peace!

Our friends Andrew and Jacob came to church in person. they are both doing so well. The talks were perfect for them.  Heavenly Father definitely knows what people need  to hear.

I've recently learned the importance of sharing personal experiences with people. Since being on my mission i've found that it's really easy to get in a mindset of "oh i have to act this way". But the past few weeks i've realized that opening up  and being vulnerable with people is sooo important! as long as it's the right timing. Heavenly Father uses the experiences we go through not only for our benefit, but for the benefit of others. Our challenges we face can point others to Christ.

something president heap said this week that i liked- "we've got The Savior, Heavenly Father, and The holy Ghost on our side. It's all covered."

Everything will work out according to His will.

He's got you covered:)
