SO MANY THINGS
Hello to all of my favorite people!!
this week was willddd. But soo good!!
first things first! Jimmy and Ashley are on date to be married and to be baptized!!! we had a powerful lesson with them and taught them about the power of God here on earth- the priesthood!! Then ashley received a priesthood blessing of comfort and healing because she's going through some medical challenges right now. The spirit was so strong. I am so excited for them. We've had a lot of conversations with them about how they can center their family on Jesus Christ. Being married and baptized is the perfect way for them to start on their path to following God! They are going to receive so many blessings because they're willing to make promises with God. They are amazing people and have an amazing family and I can't wait for when their family will be forever!
Another update.... we moved!! wahoo! I don't know if i told you all this but our last apartment reeked of smoke because our neighbors did nothing but smoke all day (they are very nice people don't get me wrong) but it got to be a little too much. So friday we were all ready to move in but then because of some issues with our landlord, we stayed in a hotel in mackinaw city that night. Which was honestly so fun because we got to go on a run to the mackinac bridge in the morning! And then after a long day of cleaning we finally got to move in saturday afternoon. It was long and lots of work but so fun. We had adventures lol. Sis hansen came up with a new version of the "wise man foolish man" primary song. Someday we'll disclose the full lyrics and make millions. Just you wait.
I've been thinking about conversion this week. Conversion happens when we feel the spirit testify of truth, and when we have our own personal spiritual experiences. I love this quote by President Ballard:
"These experiences follow naturally when a person is willing to experiment on the word. this is how we come to feel the Gospel is true". Conversion to Jesus Christ and His Gospel is such an individual process. It takes time, effort, and a willingness to do what He asks of us. The cool thing is that when we do what He asks us to, we receive sooo many blessings! And we'll be able to build our lives on His rock. And we won't fall. That is a promise He gives us- we. will. not. fall. As long as we keep having personal spiritual experiences with Him and as we come to know Him as our personal Savior.
I'm so grateful for my Savior and His Gospel. Every single day I feel so much joy and peace because of it. When I strive to listen to the spirit and hear God's voice, it deepens my conversion to His Gospel. In my interview with my mission president this week, he told me to "Hold on to it". He said to never doubt a prompting or a personal experience with Jesus Christ. holding on to those experiences are what keep us moving forward and help us build our foundation on Him.
Anywayysssss love you all so much!! Keep on keepin' on!
