Heyo!
Hey everyone!
first off if you sent me an email last monday I didn't get it because my email wasn't working. Just to let y'all know!
It was a great week! Let me tell you all- the work is progressing here in cheboygan, MI. It's the coolest thing. This week not a ton happened... but also a lot happened at the same time.
We had a lesson with scott and julie this week and taught the Gospel of jesus Christ! they loved it, until they realized that the baptisms they have had were not done under the proper authority. So, we're taking all the advice we can get on how to lovingly teach about the need to be baptized under the proper priesthood authority! We want them to know we respect and love them while also teaching truth. If you got advice, send it my way!
We met with Alex this week! She told us she is ready to make promises with God. Here's a cool story- She was on her way to church on sunday when her car wouldn't start! (darn Satan!) But, thanks to a pandemic, she could watch church over zoom! The testimonies that people gave on sunday were so spirit led and it was amazing. It was everything I needed to hear as well as everything Alex needed to hear. It was an amazing meeting and we were all uplifted as we talked about how Jesus Christ has strengthened us in our lives. The Lord is definitely involved in the details of this work.
Easter and General Conference are coming up!! Wahoo! I can't wait to celebrate my Savior and to listen to modern day prophets talk about Him.
You all should sign up for the text message thing the church is doing! It's a new initiative called #StartingToday. If you text this number then they'll send you daily prompts for what you can do that day to focus on/come closer to Jesus Christ! It's the coolest thing ever. here's the number:

I love this quote:
"When we truly behold the Man, we learn of Him and seek to align our lives with Him. We repent and strive to refine our natures and daily grow a little closer to Him. We trust Him. We show our love for Him by keeping His commandments and by living up to our sacred covenants. In other words, we become His disciples.
His refining light saturates our souls. His grace uplifts us. Our burdens are lightened, our peace deepened. When we truly behold the Man, we have the promise of a blessed future that inspires and upholds us through the bends and bumps in life’s journey. Looking back, we will recognize that there is a divine pattern, that the dots really connect."
I am so grateful for my Savior! Because of Him, we can have hope. Because of Him, we can get through all of the challenges in life and be better from them! There is a divine pattern. God and Jesus Christ are aware of us and of everything we are going through. All we need to do is turn to Them! I'm grateful for this knowledge and that I get to share it with the people of Michigan!
Love you all!!
Sister Ross
