Hey everyone,

I just want to give you all an update. Last night I was released from my service as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I have absolutely loved my time as a missionary. I'm devastated that it has to end early because of surgery, but I am hoping I'll still be able to go out to Michigan once my cholesteatoma is taken out.

I know that God is involved in the details of our lives. Something I've learned is that faith includes trusting in God's timing, and trusting in Him even when His will is not our own. I've wanted to serve a mission for as long as I can remember, so it's hard for me for it to be put on hold. But, I know there is a higher plan and I'm willing to accept that. I know God is there for each one of us. He has not abandoned us or left us alone. The trials we go through have a purpose, and help us become better people and more like Him.

Elder Holland said, "I bear witness of God's love and of the Restoration of His glorious gospel, which is, in one way or another, the answer to every issue we face in life".
I want to add my testimony to his. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to everything and can help us as we face the trials of life. I don't know how I would get through life without feeling the peace that comes from our Savior. I know that our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, understands each of us. Sometimes life doesn't seem fair. And it's hard to hear Him and know that He is there. But, I know that even during those times He is standing by us and fighting for us. I love the scripture Matthew 28:20. "I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world".

I have been amazed at how much God has guided me during this time. Our home was filled with the spirit while I was a missionary. Almost every day there was something that helped me feel comfort, have direction, or just made me happy. Whether it was from the scriptures, reading a conference talk, or someone sending me an email. I know God was involved. He still is, and always will be! I know that as we study the scriptures and make the effort to come closer to Him, He will guide us.

Also, to all those missionaries out there... keep up the hard work!! Don't give up. You got this. For anyone on the edge of serving a mission or not - just go for it.

I love this Gospel and am so grateful for the joy and peace it brings me in my life, even during hard times.

I'm looking forward to seeing what God has in store for me as I have surgery and spend the next little while at home.

I love you all, thank you for the support!
If any of you need anything, feel free to text me.
